Meet C.J. Allen, OTR/L, CHT

C.J. Allen grew up in Suffolk County, Long Island, and graduated from St. Anthony’s High School in South Huntington. He earned his Occupational Therapy degree at Quinnipiac University in 2001 in Hamden, Ct. He began his career and extensive upper extremity training at New York Presbyterian Hospital and at a private physician-operated practice on Long Island, both under the auspices of world-renowned hand surgeons. C.J. earned his CHT(certified hand therapist) and has worked in private practice since 2003 before deciding to open the doors to his private practices in Hauppauge and Smithtown, NY.

Experience

C.J. has over 20 years of experience in rehabilitating all upper extremity conditions, including shoulder, elbow, forearm, wrist, and hand, both post-surgical and non-operative, keeping up with the latest treatment techniques and understanding the latest surgical procedures. C.J. also has extensive experience fabricating all upper extremity orthoses as determined by diagnosis, from simple carpal tunnel and arthritis splints to elaborate mobilization devices.
